Bug Description

On an Oneiric i386 system in a 3D Unity session with compiz 1:0.9.5.0-0ubuntu5 and unity 4.8.0-0ubuntu2 shortly after installing updates (see attached dpkg.log) and experiencing bug 827176, compiz segfaulted in std::_Deque_iterator<char, char&, char*> std::move_backward<char>(). I do not have any more information about this problem, except to say that this computer sometimes suffers from overheating problems and was running slowly presumably for that reason, so perhaps that was involved in triggering the bug.

Shortly after experiencing this crash, I experienced the crash in bug 741652. However, the stack trace there does not look similar to this bug's (admittedly incomplete) trace. So I am not marking this as a duplicate of bug 741652.

I'm going to mark this as fix released due to the massive changes in unity from 4.8 to 4.24, and the code path that caused this no longer exists.
