When maximizing windows, they move onto another virtual desktop.

If the windows are at the edge of the virtual desktop 1, and i maximize them, they maximizes, but on the other virtual desktop. They don't maximize at the momentally used virtual desktop 1. I don't know, if it is a bug, but it is already fixed in 11.10. Maybe you can fix here, too.

This is a dupicate bug, and backports might provide that package in 11.04, marking invalid.

Could you please provide the duplicate bug number? There is a place in the top right of this report, to put the number in "Mark as duplicate". This allows the reporter to go to the duplicate report and provide additional information as well as find if any workarounds are available.

I am quite sure that this is a duplicate of Bug #776435 (compiz package, can be reproduced with 10.04 too)
But I do not know how compiz is connected with unity to get a clear separation here.
Please take a look at my comment. (why I think this was not a problem in the pre-unity ubuntu releases)
