Bug Description
I know the widget layer plugin for compiz is not officially supported, but...
I'm running several screenlets in Unity right now; overall they seem to run much better under compiz compared to the last time I tried them (with mutter). Ideally I'd like to be able to display any running screenlets with a keystroke (as is possible in KDE, for example), and tried to achieve this with the widget layer plugin. Unfortunately, using this plugin breaks Unity - in particular, it destroys the top panel - and a compiz --replace is needed to get things running again.

Same problem: widget layer breaks unity top panel.
