2011-11-18 09:57:41 John Lea description Currently, when one opens an application that is not pinned to the launcher, it is placed at the bottom of the application launcher items, right above the workspace switcher. This presents a problem for those of us who like to organize our launchers by category, yet use applications that do not require pinning (being available through other resources such as the messaging menu, for example) The desired behavior is that the launcher remember the placement of all items, pinned or not. Desired solution: - Also review https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/808587 before implementing this bug (When a Launcher icon is moved it is automatically pinned) - If a user explicitly chooses to then unpin a launcher icon they have moved, the placement of the Launcher icon should be remembered the next time it is launched.
