Binary package hint: unity
Steps to reproduce:
(initial condition: No medias are mounted, no folders are on the Desktop.)
- Copy something (big) eg. ISOs from the home folder to somewhere in the home folder.
The nautilus progress bar window comes up and displays the progress of the process.
- Close all remaining Nautilus windows.
The nautilus progress bar window stays open and the copying process continues.
- Lets say you want to work with your folders again: Click on the home folder icon on the unity launcher.
What I expect to happen:
- nautilus comes up an I can work with it parallel to the copying process.
What happened instead:
- nothing, no nautilus window comes up. The nautilus progress bar window gets focused ant thats it.
And when no medias are mounted and no folders are on the Desktop, there is NO WAY to get a nautilus window until the copying process has ended.
Workaround in this situation:
- Make a new folder on the desktop and open it to get a nautilus window.
Thoughts: this is a quite similar behavior like Bug #760437 (Can't start firefox when a download is in progress) , marked opinion.
Additional information:
I use ubuntu natty beta2 + updates
