Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

After I updated to the packages released with beta2, all the applications and documents in the dash are missing. Searching for an application, place or document delivers no results. When looking for "More Applications", the menu with the different categories is completely missing. The behaviour is exactly the same for a newly created user.
Sometimes though, everything is ok, but only in about 1 from 10 logins, from what I can tell quite random.
