Bug Description
Binary package hint: unity
1- press and hold super
2- wait half a second for shortcuts to appear
3- press and release a
4- nothing happens
5- release super
6- the application searcher appears
This is inconsistent with the behaviour of accelerator keys in gnome, in other places in natty, with CUA, and with other modern OSs. What I think should happen is that the action occurs when A is released.
Aside from consistency, I think this also weakens the association that by pressing the key shown over the launcher icon, you will get the thing suggested. The first time I hit this I sat there pressing A repeatedly, and then was surprised when it appeared when I eventually released super.

This seems to affect only the Unity Places menu. The application launchers are not affected.
