I don't know how it got that way, but I've been switching between libreoffice and firefoxover a number of hours with several hibernation periods between. Programs seem to be able to interact with it, but the mouse does nothing. The mouse still has full functionality. When any action is done with the mouse with the sidebar, its as if it were interacting with the desktop.
