Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

Hello,

After I launch Xephyr in full-screen mode, switch from it to another workspace and open any window the launcher starts being drawn behind the opened window.
This can be also reproduced by switching to the workspace with fullscreen Xephyr, make Xephyr window foreground, press Super key (the dash/launcher is drawn behind) then switch back to some workspace with windows and press Super again. Some of the windows will be overlaying dash.

The screenshot tools insist that launcher is drawn on top of other windows, however I see the dash/launcher below other windows. The Dash continues reacting to the clicks though.

Using nvidia-current drivers on GeForce 8400M.

I'm not sure that this isn't xeyphr doing something naughty, but it affects us anyway.

Not only with zephyr but also with firefox in fullscreen. A restart of unity solves the problem

Happened to me with Firefox. Then both dash and launcher are drawn beneath any window, but the buttons still work. You can't see them though. Why is this low priority. It's damned annoying to have to logout to get it to work right.

I'm having the same issue as Stan, but with any windows (I'm not using Xephyr or Firefox). In my case it might be caused by some setting I changed in my Compiz config.

Very annoying bug. I also don't use Xephyr or Firefox. What kind of information could I provide that would help to find the cause?

I got it reproduced after I ran Xchat and it created a couple of Connect to... windows. At this time the disk drive was busy with something so the windows did not appear instantly. After they finally displayed themselves the dash started appearing below all the windows as if it lost the track of the foreground one.

Hi, I have this problem too. I have it with every application and sometimes it persists even after a reboot.
It seems it appeared after the Nvidia 280.13 driver installation but I'm not 100% sure.Let me know if I can do any test or verification that might help.
Thanks
