Bug Description
The song notification (the message from notify-osd) should not be seen when I'm changing a song from the Sound Menu since it's obtrusive and I already know which song is being played. Sometimes the notification is shown behind the sound menu - I think it depends on which was shown first.
Using Ubuntu Natty Narwhal Beta 1

Yes, agreed, though I think this is a dup. Essentially, the thing which
sends the media player the "change track" should also be able to say
"and don't bother notifying because I'm already displaying the track
info". Alternatively, the app should be able to determine if the sound
menu is open , and decide not to notify because it is.
