Bug Description
Binary package hint: unity
Using 11.04 dev release (as of 03/22/2011)
I opened the CompizConfig Settings Manager from the Control Center, clicked on "Effects", and placed a checkmark in the "Water" effect option. The desktop froze for a moment, then Ubuntu automatically logged me off. I was able to log in without issue. Once I logged in, a crash report appeared onscreen.
I experienced the exact same issue when removing the checkmark from the "Water" effect option. Again, I was able to log in to Ubuntu just fine.
