Cannot type with onscreen keyboard into dash (tabletpc & a11y)

Bug Description
Users without a hardware (for example tabletpc users or pointer-only users (a11y)) rely on onscreen keyboards for their typing. However, as dash seems to disappear on every left click, it is not possible for these users to type anything into the search box of dash.
Is there already a plan to solve the issue?

The problem does not occur in Unity 2D.
