many drive icons in sidebar

Another problem i've noted,

when i have lots of partitions or volumes mounting from fstab, an icon for each of them appears in the dock / sidebar on the left. eventually it looks bad. It'd be much much better if after a certain number of 'drives' the group was collated into one and either expanded when focussed on by mouse cursor or opens up a submenu like when right clicking on the applications/ files and folders buttons
