Bug Description

Ubuntu Natty alpha 3
unity 4.16.0-0ubuntu1, Ubuntu 11.10 beta 1

1. Click the Ubuntu button.
2. Type some text.

What happens:
1. The "Search" hint text, and the caret for the search field, are two different heights.
2. The text you enter is yet another different height.

What should happen: either
* there should be no hint text, and the caret and entered text should be the same height; or
* the hint text, caret, and entered text should all be the same height.

Centering it wouldn't solve the problem of the three different sizes, so unmarking duplicate.

I am a little confused about this bug sorry if I made things bad but seems like the carrot issue is fixed, isn't it?

No, this is still a problem in 4.16.0-0ubuntu1. The caret is actually the right height to start with, but it looks like the wrong height because it's different from the hint text.
