Bug Description

Unity settings - for example, top menubar transparency and others - are "hidden" within Compiz settings. Therefore, in order to tweak, the user must install ccsm (the Compiz settings manager app from package compizconfig-settings-manager).

There should be an easier way to access these settings, and/or information on how to reach the settings should be provided.

Maybe these settings could be placed in the Appearance Preferences where the Visual Effects tab used to be? Then it could just be called Unity Settings or something similar.

Unity is still evolving rapidly, and the settings provided in CCSM are defined as 'experimental' meaning they may or may not be permanent options. When the base unity experience has been well defined, and tested, we will start formalizing plans for customization, and a more official settings interface will be defined.

Thanks Alex, that's helpful (and I appreciate that settings are experimental at this stage).
Would certainly be helpful to surface user-configurable settings, even if there are only a few of them in an initial release, in a more accessible manner.

It will be nice to do configuration with right click on unity bar.
