Possibly a feature, not a bug, though it's bad to return Skype tray icon, it's against new philosophy of ubuntu desktop.

This is a necessary evil for this release, as we won't have appindicator support in Skype. However, there is work to try and get the telepathy provider working as an alternative. To this end, I'm marking this as wishlist as we all want it to happen (skype using appindciator, but it might not be possible for natty).

We'll whitelist a few apps which simply cannot work any other way in the
timeframe available. We'll have Skype indicator support done for Natty+1.

I see that this is marked as a duplicate of Bug #974480. But it is not a duplicate; Bug #974480 says that we must disable certain apps, whereas this bug says that the Skype app is disabled and should not be disabled.

Please remove this bug from the list of duplicates of Bug #974480.

In addition, "wishlist" is not appropriate. Many people use Skype; it is a de facto standard. This should be marked as a regression.
