To answer #41 - first, it's "1.10" not "1.1". xserver 1.1 was a LONG time ago. ;-)
Anyway, we've communicated this bug to AMD, and so we will hold out until a new fglrx is released. Use -ati in the interim.
We can't fix/patch the fglrx driver ourselves since it is proprietary.
