Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

If I right click a launcher a second time, the quicklist is missing the launcher's name.

To reproduce:

* Hover any launcher -> you should see the launcher's name
* Right click the launcher -> you should see the quicklist with the launcher's name
* Right click the launcher again -> you should see the quicklist without the launcher's name

Short clip attached.

I see this on Intel, it's not nVidia-specific.

I followed the steps to reproduce this bug, but don't get the described behavior. If I right-click a second (thrid, fourth...) time, the quicklist does not loose the name-entry at all. This is with trunk. I also get the same behavior with 0.2.34. Tested it on a laptop with an intel GMA X3100 GPU.

Could you check if you still get this bug with unity 0.2.34? If not I would like to mark it as "Fix Released". Looking at the commit-log of unity, between releases 0.2.32 and 0.2.34 there was a fix added for double menu-open, which is the only quicklist-related change. FYI, 0.2.32 also behaves strangely on my laptop.

Not seeing it anymore, seems to be fixed.

the actual steps to reproduce this bug:

1. left click on the launcher of an app.
2.when the app opens/gets-focus, without moving the cursor right click

I can confirm this, but that's not the bug I reported here. :-) What you see also happens when rushing over the launchers followed by a right-click. Maybe bug 617339 is a better place for this?
