[i945gm] enabled visual effects prevent from toggle resize window

Bug #581085 reported by Martin Konopka on 2010-05-15

unity (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

I have set my own keyboard shortcuts for vertical and horizontal maximising of windows: I use Ctrl+Shift+h for horizontal resizing and Ctrl+Shift+v for vertical resizing. It normally works in toggle mode: I can repeatedly maximise and minimise a window. However if I allow for visual effects (either normal or extra) then I can only maximise the window (using the shortcut) and can not go back with its size. It is annoying of course.

The bug affects also windows within the Unity environment in ubuntu 11.04, 32-bit version. I can see it on the same computer which I used for my original report.

Sorry folks, but as part of the bug clean up ahead of 16.04 I'm marking this as invalid because it affects an Ubuntu release which is now unsupported. If you can still recreate this bug in a supported release please do open a new bug and we can triage it for consideration in the 16.04 development cycle.
