Bug Description

Hello Ubuntu Team,

Having problem with my Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS (GNU/Linux 4.4.0-53-generic x86_64).

Here is the scenario:

I've created a standard user without password, after few days my colleague decided to add put password on it so id rather ssh using Administrator account(used passwd command to add password to the user) to it and set password. As i went physically on the computer tried to login in the account through GUI and it went through without asking password.

Can you also help with this one? Newbie here....

Thanks,

Hello,

there's an option to log in automatically. To check if this is enabled, could you open "User accounts" in the Dash and see Automatic login is enabled for your user? (I reverse translated the names, so they might differ slightly) Most likely it is enabled from when the account was password-less, but if you disable it, the password should be required the next time you try to log in.

I have to admit I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, because I don't know what the expected (or rather) defined behaviour is here when enabling password on an account.
