I cannot minimise a window if it is the only window opened

Affected system:

Ubuntu 16.04 Unity with all latest updates.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Nautilus
2. Make sure no other window is opened
3. Click the minimise (-) button

Error:

The window hangs and does not minimise.

Workaround:

Open a second window.

Please consider testing thoroughly with fresh install and latest updates. It is unlikely that a bug like this can exist in LTS.

Also try resetting compiz setting. It may help.

A fresh install is not feasible. However, I will perform an upgrade from 16.04 to 16.10.

That might resolve the issue.

Can you advise me how to reset Compiz correctly?
