network manager indicator shows wrong type of connection if wifi is disabled and enabled back again

If I uncheck the "Enable Wi-Fi" option in the network indicator dropdown menu it will show the two arrows that indicate that I'm connected to ethernet, even though I'm not. However, if I check the option "Enable Wi-Fi" again, it will connect to the network and the connection will work fine, but it the applet won't show the wi-fi related options, like the network that I'm currently connected to or other available networks.
