Bug Description

This is a feature Request for getting a warning before suspending When clicked "Suspend" on unity panel.

I have some problem with my Nvidia Graphics and Suspending (I can't resume from suspend). So I usually avoid suspending my computer.

But sometimes I accidentally click on 'Suspend' when trying to 'Shutdown'. Which suddenly suspends my computer without giving any warning!. I will have to boot it again (where I get stuck on a blank screen) and long press my power-button and restart my computer.

It would be very nice if a new feature is added to unity, where we get a warning like "Are you sure you want to suspend ?".

This feature already exists for Shutdown (Screen-shot attached). So I hope we can get a similar warning for "Suspend".

Why not fixing the suspend issue in the first place? Also have you tried using a mouse instead of the track pad?

Because in these eight years using Ubuntu as my only operating system, I don't remember having clicked on suspend by accident.

On the other hand I usually see people struggling to click on things because of using the track pad instead. Which is intended only to when the use of a mouse isn't possible, even when Apple advertises it otherwise.
