Window width calculated incorrectly

Bug Description

When Unity launcher is visible and I place 2 windows to occupy exactly half of the screen actual width is just a bit bigger than necessary. I can be detected when setting CCSM > Animation > Focus Animation > Dodge

If Unity launcher is hidden on located at bottom then width is calculated correctly.

Should be fairly easy to fix I guess.

Error disappears if disable gtk-window-decorator, but decorations will disappear as well.

Which release of Ubuntu are you running? We no longer use gtk-window-decorator.

I'm on Ubuntu 16.10 (as of today, always have up to date dev version of Ubuntu).
I was using Unity session when filled an issue, now I have custom session with just Compiz (no Unity plugin installed at all), but still having exactly the same issue with gtk-window-decorator.

After your comment I suspect this might be a bug in Compiz. Can you reproduce an issue?

This is not the case for me neither in my custom session with gtk-window-decorator, nor in stock Ubuntu 16.04.0.
See screenshots and video from my host and from VM running Ubuntu 16.04 Live CD

From what I see they are correctly sized. The shadow makes it feel the focused windows is bigger.

Don't you think it should be fixed? Quite annoying since I often have 1/2 or 1/4 sized windows side by side.
Also if launcher is hidden there is no issue.

So don't you think this issue should be marked as Confirmed rather than Incomplete?

I've disabled all of the plugins that might cause shadow, there is no shadow visible, but jumping is still present.
Can you update status from Incomplete now?
