Bug Description

When I change some settings and restart PC, unity has the default settings even I changed them.

I change themes and it did not change during the current session.

Just marked all bugs I could find that have something to do with changes that don't survive logging off or shutting down or something like that as duplicates of this bug, just to have them all together. Some of them even report the same option as not working. Maybe it's the same cause in all of them. If they all need to be sorted out separately, feel free to group them by option.

Thanks. Since unity tweak tool is simply a frontend for manipulating controls exposed by unity, I'm marking this for Unity.

If the settings take effect even temporarily they are expected to persist, unless the user config is cleared from their `$HOME` or there is some bug in gsettings handling somewhere.
