Autohide top panel / bar when it is not being used

By "top panel" I mean tge bar that has the clock.

Possible behavior: show it only when:

- it hit say Alt + F for the file menu
- when I do a special action, like moving the mouse to the top left corner or maybe hold Super (as to show a hidden launcher)

Then I'd expect the top panel to appear above the current window, like the hidden launcher.

I would like to add myself to this conversation.

The rationale why I find this useful and sensible is the fact that one can also optionally hide the Unity launcher sidebar. So, for me, it would be only consistent to have an option to also auto-hide the top bar panel.

What do you think?
