Bug Description
When installing new software either via apt-get or from a .deb package the software cannot be launched by typing its name in the Unity "start" panel (what displays when you press the Windows key or click the Ubuntu icon on the Unity launch bar on the left of the screen).
On all previous versions of Ubuntu I've used with Unity, software can be launched by name immediately after installation. Since upgrading to 15.10, new applications don't show up until I've rebooted my computer.
