screen lock suddenly appear

Lock screen suddenly appears, sometimes.
In the middle I use browser or another program.
It always happens when I lock the screen, and then releases the lock.
It never happens when I start the computer for the first time.

How does it appear? Screen starts to fade out with an animation or is instantaneous?

at first, the screen freezes, everything hangs, few seconds.
then the lock screen appears slowly, as happens when I press the lock button, with animation.

it is important to add, that it does not happen to me every time I return from the lock screen.
sometimes it happens, sometimes not. i have no idea what the cause is.
