Unlock does not work

After screen lock the login does not display a field where a password can be typed and thus there seems to be no way to login to machine.

Is there a work around that would allow login to desktop when this issue occurs, perhaps entering some command to text console?

This should not happen on the last unity realese. Can you check?

The machine has currently unity 7.2.2+14.04.20140714-0ubuntu1.1. Is the current version the latest? As far as I could see from dpkg.log there has not been updates for unity since I reported the bug.

The version in Utopic should fix this issue.

I am using 14.04 LTS. Is there a fix available for LTS I could test?
