xprop WM_CLASS returns "not found" for unity launcher when clicking on unity launcher

To reproduce open a terminal and type xprop WM_CLASS and then click on the launcher that is on the left of your screen it will return not found.

I expected it to return unity-launcher or something similar. Instead the command returned not found.
