Unable to type password after screen lock

After the screen locks, sometimes I can't type in the password field, no characters are showed, I have to click on any other element like the shutdown menu then click again on the password field so it can accept typing.
This is affecting Ubuntu 14.04.

Since this bug is believed to have been fixed in a recent version of the Uniy shell, could you please report the version you have installed?

From the command line, the command

  apt-cache policy unity

should give this information.

Yeah you need to update your system. The candidate version should fix the bug.

I upgraded to 7.2.0+14.04.20140416-0ubuntu1 and it seems that it's working fine.
