I'm unable to reproduce this behaviour in 15.10, so I think this bug has been fixed. This still needs to be confirmed for Trusty.

Using Manjaro Xfce with Compiz 0.9.13.1 as window manager and seeing this bug. Deactivating and again activating the key binding in the CCSM settings (General > Key bindings) "solves" the problem.

In Ubuntu 18.04 with Unity 7.5.0 I have to use the solution provided by Michael (see #7 - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1292833/comments/7).

Linux Mint here, experiencing this same problem after running `compiz --replace ccp`.
So this bug has been around for 6+ years? O_O

My workaround in Linux Mint 20.1 MATE was to add a Keyboard shortcut.
Alt+F4 runs this command:
wmctrl -c :ACTIVE:
