Bug Description

saucy 3.11.0-2 new install today
The applet (looks like a sun) for settings, shutdown, etc. was on the right end of the top panel but disappeared. What's left is network, battery, speaker, time.

Will start a terminal and do a sudo halt to shutdown. Any other ideas?

The applet still disappears from time to time on 3.11.0-11. I don't have a scenario to make it happen consistently.

Just happened again.
Here's the gnome-session.log. I don't know how to attach two files so unity-panel-service.log will be on the next comment.
