Bug Description

Not sure what happened - I appear to have a running instance of Synaptic, but it is not showing on the screen. I went to a terminal and did 'gksu synatic'
Got
Another synaptic is running. Trying to bring it to the foreground

tried
'fg' in terminal

got crash

But this same sequence does not reproduce the error.
