Bug Description
with 100% regularity after approx 24 days and a few hours uptime, the application panel on the left of the screen "crashes" and becomes completely unusable.
i cannot tell if this is compiz or unity or something else causing the issue.
in the enterprise environment i work in, it is impossible to work with.
the only solution when this happens is to log out/in or reboot. i have tried to re-start various unity related services and nothing seems to fix it.
i have attached a screen shot.
for a LTS release this is, sadly, not acceptable.
