Bug Description

When opening the Dash for the 1st. time or anytime there isn't a previous search displayed then the search area has an active cursor.
However when opening with a prev. search displayed there is no active cursor unless one happens to have the mouse cursor positioned in that area before re-opening the Dash or if one use the Dash launcher icon

Test case:
Open Dash, type tot, press enter, 1st displayed app will open (usually totem
Close app, position mouse curor anywhere but under panel, open Dash with Super, the cursor is inactive, enter will not start 1st. listed app until cursor is moved into search box.

Now close Dash, re-open again with Super, now the cursor is active, press enter, the app will open.
Works every other time with the same search displayed

Maybe this should be invalidated & if so sorry to waste your time.
What I failed to notice on a relatively small screen (13") was the location of the mouse cursor when re-opening the Dash.
If it's anywhere inside the Dash then the search cursor is inactive, if it's outside the Dash the the cursor is active & enter will re-open previous 1st. listed app.

I no longer see this happening, opening Dash from keyboard now always presents an active cursor.
Unless others still see above described behavior then should be considered invalid.

Problem still present, and reproducible as described, on Precise 64bit (12.04.2) with all updates installed, and system restarted.
