My experience is the following:
The mentioned graphic card have neved worked fine with unity.
VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation G72M [Quadro NVS 110M/GeForce Go 7300]

Right now I'm using Ubuntu 13.10 and still the system works very bad.
Very bad performance of the system (with others desktop systems the computer works perfect), a lot of crashes of the compiz process, problems in the drawing of the different windows. Sometimes the windows paints invalid data (ie: others parts of the screen or a noisy texture).

Sometimes this behavior becomes more frequent, the windows does not get painted properly. If I move, or resize the window, it is repainted and looks works. Other times it does not work.

Sometimes when the windows does not paint well the windows resize method does not work if the windows is resized to a higher size (ie: maximization). On the other hand if it is resized to a lower window size, it repaits well.

Perhaps this experience are interesting for developers who may fix the bug.
Thanks.
