Bug Description
If you invoke the Dash and begin typing quickly immediately after that, the Dash will fail to intercept the first letter or two. Instead they will be intercepted by the previously focused window. That could be the desktop or a window of any other application.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Minimize all windows. (Don't have to but to make the test case clearer.)
2. Hit the Super key or click on the Ubuntu button in the launcher and immediately start typing.
Expected:
All keystrokes are intercepted by the Dash and they are shown in the search field within it.
Instead:
The first letter or two are intercepted by the desktop and they appear in a search field in the bottom right corner of the screen.
I don't recall this being an issue in Unity on Ubuntu 12.04.
