Bug Description

Since I upgraded yesterday, I cannot see the application menu in the unity top bar, and the side bar is not showing the running application (arrows). It seems that unity is completely detached from the running apps. I attach screenshot.

Juan, Unity 6.6 arrived in quantal-proposed yesterday. When you get a chance to upgrade, is the problem still there with the latest Unity? Thanks.

Was using apt-get upgrade which did not show any packages to upgrade (was having unity 6.6), but the software-updater gui found some packages to upgrade and fixed the issue for me.

I had the same thing happening to me, and indeed after upgrading using
software-updater, the issue was fixed.
