Bug Description

Upgraded 10.04.4 to 12.04.1 desktop. I was expecting to see the global menu. But the program menus were the same as usual. This happens with all programs. I have searched high and low for a solution including Ubuntu forums. I have searched launchpad for a solution and nothing presented itself.

Please help. I was expecting better for an LTS and I use LTS because things just seem to work better.

Thank you.

Thank you Omer Akram. Your solution fixed the problem. But why was this program not installed during the upgrade? We can now mark this as solved. But should I or someone else file a bug because indicator-appmenu was not installed during the upgrade or is this expected behaviour. Thanks again.
