Release Ubuntu 12.10 (Radeon)

The dragged icon appears in the launcher (just above the switcher icon)for a split second after being dropped into trash.

The below steps will reproduce the graphical issue:
#. Move the mouse so it is over a launcher icon for an application
#. Press and hold the mouse button
#. Drag the icon up and down over the icons in the launcher

I have seen it while dropping an app launcher over the Trash icon, I thought it was reported but seems its not as I can't find the bug report now.

#. Wait for device icon to appear in the launcher
Drag and drop it into the trash icon

week 30- release ubuntu 12.10 quantal (Nvidia) with ppa:SIL2100

Same issue observed on executing below steps:

#. Move mouse pointer over an application or device icon (not BFB, Workspace switcher or trash)
#. Hold mouse button down until icon attached to moue pointer (1 Second or so)
#. With the mouse button held down, drag the icon over the trash icon.
#. Release the mouse pointer.

Week 33 - Same issue observed on Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal with ppa:timo-jyrinki/prerelease (Radeon, Intel, Nvidia)
This time icon is seen for a split second 2 spaces above workspace switcher while drop to trash action is taking place.

Action:
#. Move mouse pointer over an application or device icon (not BFB, Workspace switcher or trash)
#. Hold mouse button down until icon attached to moue pointer (1 Second or so)
#. With the mouse button held down, drag the icon over the trash icon.
#. Release the mouse pointer.

When you drop a icon in the trash, the triggered operation can fail. We remove that icon when we're sure that the operation has been successful.
E.g. quitting an application can fail, ejecting a device can fail, etc.

@Andrea - does that mean it is expected behaviour for the icon to appear in the launcher (just above the switcher icon)for a split second after being dropped into trash? Please clarify.

#. Move the mouse so it is over a launcher icon for an application
#. Press and hold the mouse button
