unable to read email before refresh closes tab

Line 89 of the code is set at 3 seconds to refresh getCheckMailNode function.

When on a tab other than email tab for example to read an email message or review calendar the app refreshes based on timer. It doesn't appear to check the current node being viewed before timer refreshes. The result is the tab being viewed loses focus with email tab element gaining focus.
