Bug Description

Since updating to 14.10, I can no longer disable my built in touchpad. This worked fine in 14.04.

This is on an Acer UX32VD.

If I press the Fn-f9 hotkey, I get an on-screen popup that alternates between "enabled" and "disabled", but the touchpad remains enabled.

The switch in the Mouse applet of System settings doesn't have any effect either.

The same bug on asus N750JV. Kubuntu 14.10. Touchpad isn't disabled on Fn+F9. Worked fine on Kubuntu 14.04. Hoever "Disable touchpad when mouse is plugged in" and "Disable touchpad when typing" options work fine.
