It looks like when canned query is executed and it goes to a different scope, then the search string carried by it gets replaced with the first entry of search history. I was so far only able to reproduce it with this branch of click scope:
lp:~stolowski/unity-scope-click/update-for-design
this branch creates a "Ubuntu store" result with a canned query, that takes user to the Ubuntu Store scope with whatever query has been typed in "Apps" scope.
Step to reproduce:
1) Reboot the phone to have clean history
2) Go to Apps
3) Slowly type "Book"
4) Click on the orange "Ubuntu store" icon (which should say "Search for 'Book') - you should be carried to the store.
5) Reveal search box to see what was the search query - it says "B" (should be "Book"). Also search results are incorrect (like if "B" was entered - this can be verified by executing search manually by typing "B" and "Book" and comparing the results). |

Search string carried by canned query of the orange "Ubuntu Store" item doesn't match current Apps search and instead it's the 1st search entered in Apps.
Step to reproduce:
1) Go to Apps
2) Slowly type "Book"
4) Click on the orange "Ubuntu store" icon (which should say "Search for 'Book') - you should be carried to the store.
