I'm attempting to use Unity Mail in Xubuntu 12.10 ... dunno if THAT is gonna work, but we'll see after a reboot =)

I guess Unity Mail doesn't work with Xubuntu 12.10 ... I'll use Gnubiff instead.

Thank you for reporting this. This crash is happening because you need either both "unity-common" and "gir1.2-unity-5.0" packages installed either none of them. See bug 1055019 for that. As a workaround, simply install unity-common package.

New libunity upload (currently in -proposed) fixes this bug.
