There are lenses (e.g.: Social Lens and Photo Lens) that on a first install don't provide any content, even after the search. The user should be notified if performing a search is vain so that no effort is wasted. The user should also be educated on how to add content to the lens. Desired solution:
- Both the Photo and Gwibber Lens should not appear in the Dash bottom nav bar unless they have content to display.
- Note in this case discovery of the Gwibber Lens will be handled by 'Ubuntu Online Accounts'. After a user has enabled their first social network using Online Accounts the Gwibber Lens should appear.
- Note in the case of the Photo Lens, this Lens should only appear when there are either local images stored on the computer that are accessible by this lens, or when the user has enabled their first online photo service using the 'Ubuntu Online Accounts' service. |
