Opening firefox from unity-lens-photos causes graphic issues

Bug Description
From the lens search a photo in Picasa account (but it is probably the same for any other web service). Select one photo to view. It opens Firefox (or a new tab if it is already open). From this point right-click menu, drop down menus from awesome bar or any other drop down menu disappears and can't be used.
This bug renders firefox not quite totally useless but not far off.
The interesting thing is that it doesn't seem to affect chromium if it is set as default.

It's a Firefox bug on FF14 and higher.
