Bug Description

It happens after a fresh install and update of a 12.04 beta 2 version on my Asus Eee netbook, but wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't specific to my model.

The only things done after install are a full update, creation of 2 new users and a wallpaper change (and minor UI tweaks that shouldn't affect the login screen). Before this login worked well. Now it is a mess. It happens whatever I turn on the computer and login for the first time or do it after a logout. The only trick I found to workaround this is changing to a console tty and going back to the one which contains the login screen (it doesn't crash anymore). However, it doesn't always work and makes the setup completely insane for everyday use. X86 version.
