Session switcher for logged in user is misleading

Bug Description

When I select an already logged in user with Unity Greeter, there is still a menu to choose the session type. Switching to a different session type here does nothing: I am still dropped off in the previous session, of whatever type it was before.

It should be made clear that this menu will not do anything until the user logs out completely.

Changed in unity-greeter (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Confirmed

After latest Update on Ubuntu 12.04 I couldn't login to Unity with my "normal" user. The error message was "could not load gnome"

Login to guest-user workt without faults.

I Installed gnome-shell via guest-account. After that I can login to gnome-shell without any problems. But I cannot switch to unity anymore.

Is this a bug related to this one?
