Bug Description

See login_session_selector.png When a user clicks on the session icon (see change request 3 above), the login box should stretch in the vertical dimension to the height required to incorporate the currently available session options (note: kde and gnome options should *not* be available by default). At the same time as the login box stretches, the contents of the login box and the user names should fade out. The contents of the login box should be replaced with the available session options as shown in the design. Note that this stretch/fade transition should be very quick. Clicking on either a session option or the "< back" button should perform the animation in reverse. The icon for the selected session should then be displayed in the login box. Contact Otto for any required visual assets.

When the session type is not recognised, a empty circle asset should be used, see attached image unknown_badge.png

Design - what icon should be used for sessions we don't understand? I'm going to implement the cog for bug 932164 at the moment

Hi Robert, we're going to use an empty badge for any sessions we don't recognise - the cog gives the wrong implications. I've attached a new asset to this comment :)

This bug was fixed in the package unity-greeter - 0.2.4-0ubuntu1

---------------
unity-greeter (0.2.4-0ubuntu1) precise; urgency=low

  * New upstream release
    - Don't crash when all monitors are the same size
    - Use OS icon instead of cog for session selector (LP: #932164)
    - Show arrow on password entry to indicate will login
    - Show session chooser dialog instead of a menu (LP: #932169)
  * debian/patches/do_not_crash_with_twinview.patch:
    - Dropped, included upstream
